Many couples who complain about their relationship/marriage being boring use the excuse of finances as a reason for not creating beautiful memories.
The media has made people believe that until couples go to Paris, they cannot create beautiful moments and experiences together and many couples have put themselves under undue pressure because they want to go to Paris. Paris is beautiful but will you go there every day? Of course not.
At a certain wedding, the Preacher who was also a Marriage Counsellor said to ensure that couples’ honeymoon is forever.
It is important that your home is always and steadily filled with love and a blissful atmosphere and you do not have to spend a lot of money to make that happen.
Here are a couple of tips you and your spouse can try out!
- TAKE A WALK TOGETHER:
Many couples do not know the power of taking a walk with their partners. It’s so powerful and I’ll share with you some benefits.
Taking a walk with your partner creates an atmosphere of peace.
You would have left work. stress, chores, and the many things on your mind. That short period
creates joy and peace as you enjoy the moment with zero worries.
According to a study in 2011, published by Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, those who walked for 40 minutes, 3 times a week for a year experienced a 2% growth of the hippocampus in the brain.
The hippocampus is the portion of the brain that
is responsible for memory and emotion, so the test subjects who walked received an immaculately higher score on a memory test compared to the control group who did not. A plus is that you are with your partner while walking and you both can relive memories together and have a good laugh.
Walking make the Heart Healthy
Any activity that increases heart rate is beneficial to your health in general, but it is specifically vital to the heart. Exercise pumps blood through this organ more often than when the body is at rest, so exercise is also a workout for your heart.
The more in shape you become, the healthier your heart is as well.
The beautiful part is that you are walking with
the one you love, so it wouldn’t be like working
out or exercising, but you truly are exercising.
Always remember that you need good health to
fulfill your purpose and spend a lifetime with your lover.
Walking Stimulates Communication
Being outdoors, couples are forced to step away from technology and embrace gadget-free technology.
Without forms of social media, people are forced to openly communicate without the façade of a screen. It may be uncomfortable at first, but over time, honest talk and intimate
communication will ensue during a casual stroll.
Do you now agree that taking a walk with your partner is powerful?
It definitely is! Not only does it help create a bond with your partner, stimulate communication, and take you off the stress of work and house chores, but it is also very beneficial to your health.
The best part? It doesn’t cost a dime well except if you choose to buy suya on your way back. After a couple of minutes of walking, you would have created time for your partner amidst the responsibilities of life. It is also a good opportunity to talk about issues and settle quarrels.
