The Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN), has violated federal government’s order to access his Twitter account.
Following the deletion of President Muhammadu Buhari’s posts on Twitter and Facebook, the federal government announced the suspension of the widely used microblogging platform in Nigeria, TrillerTunes reports.
The development was received with bitterness by Nigerians, most especially those who uses the platform for their day to day activities which include business transactions.
However, despite the government’s order, some Nigerians have resolved to using Virtual Private Network to bypass the blockage of their account and continued to use the microblogging platform.
TrillerTunes reports that Malami had on Saturday threatened to prosecute Nigerians who were still using VPN to access the micro blogging platform.
Following his threat on Nigerians,
Malami on Tuesday logged into Twitter and deactivated his account using VPB.
A screenshot posted by the minister on social media, however, exposed how Malami used VPN to access Twitter before deleting his account.

TrillerTunes reports that VPN is a connection that allows users to establish a protected network connection when using public networks.
A clear look at the photo shared by Malami himself on Facebook showed how VPN was active on his phone.
