Prison inmate bags PhD, 15 others to become 1st degree holders – Buhari’s aide reveals

No fewer than fifteen inmates from the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Abuja Correctional Centre are reportedly about to bag their first degree.

The Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Social Media, Lauretta Onochie, disclosed this on Tuesday, April 13, TrillerTunes reports. Onochie took to her Twitter page to reveal that an inmate in Lagos Correctional centre just defended his PhD thesis.

The presidential aide praised her principal’s led government, noting that the government is working on reforming the country’s prison system.

Her tweet reads: “There are up to 15 Prisoners, who will soon graduate with their 1st degrees in FCT Correctional Facilities.
“In Lagos, an inmate has defended his PhD thesis The govt is doing a great job of reforming the prison system with therapy and vocational training.”
